TR19 is just around the corner: starts 3 May
Earlybird Registration is open!
This email comes to you because you have an interest in Community Broadcasting and keeping community broadcasters on the air. Please help us by forwarding this note post-haste (ie: click here) to your technology team and anyone who might be interested.
Technorama 2019 is this year’s gathering of the people who make technology happen at your station, and at stations across the country. Each year the Technorama event brings us together with our partners: the CBF, CBAA, CMTO and First Nations Media, along with vendors, other associations and all the interested people who get your station to air and keep it there.
As an organisation, Technorama’s focus is to restore education and a sense or fellowship to the tech side of broadcasting. That’s why the annual event is exciting, important and must-attend. There is nothing else like it on the calendar.
TR19 runs 3-5 May and all the detail is on our website at technorama.org.au. This year we’re back at the Campbelltown RSL, only a short one hour train ride directly from Sydney airport.
We’re totally stoked to announce that TR19 Guest of Honour is Richard Fleming. With over 40 years professional experience in systems design, project management and station implementation, Richard is today focused on the Community Broadcasting sector. An extremely knowledgeable technologist, and a studio design specialist, he is also known for his willingness to share his knowledge. Richard was recognised with the 2017 Technorama Award for Mentoring and development of trainees within the sector. He joins us for the full event, to share experiences and pass on a few gems.
The TR19 program will be finalised next week, so watch for that. Anyone who has been to a Technorama already knows that the sessions will be relevant, the pricing is unbelievably low, and the opportunity to interact with other technologists is just priceless.
Key advice from the team: anything you want to know is on the Technorama website
- Costs: lowest level right now
- Book online for early bird rates as low as $105 including functions and food
- Travel and accommodation is right-priced today but will only get more expensive. Our website has suggestions to help keep costs down, and the most important advice is: book now, and talk to the actual properties
- Nominate your star performers for a Technorama Award. A peer hug is the sweetest compliment.
- Education Day: Friday 3 May – a full day tutorial on building your own project management plan
The Represent! Bursary is open. Technorama drives and encourages diversity in the technology ranks through an opportunity for non-traditional attendees to come to Technorama. We ensure that everyone is welcomed, and a travel subsidy doesn’t hurt!
Keep checking the Technorama Website as we release more information on the program, but encourage your technical people to book now to hold the place.
